"The Good-Neighbor Policy"

Should same-sex marriage be an issue?  In which concrete and specific ways does allowing homosexuals to marry harm the rest of society?  Those people who call for a ban of such unions, claiming that they are doing so to "protect the family", have yet to offer a convincing argument in support of such a contention.  The fact is that heterosexuals will continue to marry and have children, regardless of their next-door neighbors' sexual preferences and marital status.  People do what comes naturally.

This is not one of those things in which you try to "keep up with the Joneses."
