Bad Timing

I don't know about you, but, to me, there is something unseemly about the Vatican exhibition of the Pope's cars and other modes of transportation through the years. This is the kind of superficiality that one associates with movie stars, rock stars and the like. Also, it reminds everyone of the luxury and the pomp and circumstance that surrounds the Pope, the Vicar of Christ, a man who had no use for the material things of the wealthy.

So, as a public relations move, this is definitely a bad one at a very bad time, given all the troubles the Church finds itself in.
