Unwelcome

Iraqis seem to get it at both ends, so to speak, from the U.S. Not only were they bombed to hell in their own country, but, by the looks of it, even those who are in the U.S. are not safe. An Iraqi woman who had gone to the U.S. in the mid-1990s has been killed in what appears to be a hate crime, judging from a note found near her body calling her people "terrorists." According to her family, she had received a similar threat a while back, but failed to report it to the police. One has to wonder if she didn't do it because she thought that it wouldn't do her any good, given the racism and xenophobia in the country.

If I were an Arab or a Muslim, the last place on earth I would go to live would be the United States of America. There's just too much hate and prejudice towards their own minorities, for non-white foreigners to be safe there. Americans as a whole want their country for themselves, and, for my part, they can have it.
