In Her Own Words
This is why the U.S. hates Julian Assange so much. According to a diplomatic cable revealed by Wikileaks, the American ambassador to Ecuador has claimed that President Correa knowingly promoted a government official who had a wide history of corruption. When confronted with these statements, the ambassador only said that that information had been stolen from the U.S. government. So, the Ecuadorian government has asked her to leave the country immediately.
As I've said before, this badmouthing by the American diplomatic corps and other government officials is par for the course because this is the way that they see foreigners in general and Latinos in particular. By exposing it for all the world to know how they truly feel, in their own words, Wikileaks has done a world of good.
